On September 2nd everyone here will be considering going to the movies… Sylvester Stallone’s new film will be released :)! Yes, I’m talking about The expendables (aka Los indestructibles).
This great production comes with a great deal of action/adventure, you can tell that just by reading the tagline which is “Choose your weapon”… And this isn’t the only attraction The expendables brings along, the real attraction is the cast since almost EVERYONE will be having a part in this movie: Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Mickey Rourke (Iron Man 2), Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ivan Drago… I mean, Dolph Lundgren and even “The Natural” Randy Couture.
And what is The expendables about? This “action-figure cast” is featuring a band of highly skilled mercenaries with no flag nor affiliation whatsoever who have absolute freedom when it comes to choosing a job: The expendables don’t care about the money, they are moved by justice and the connection with the victims.
When the group is commissioned by the mysterious Mr. Church to assassinate the merciless dictator of a small South American island, Barney (Stallone) and Lee (Statham) head to the remote locale to scout out their opposition. Once there, they meet with local rebel Sandra (Giselle Itié) and discover the true nature of the conflict… Anyone can tell this is a suicidal rescue mission but Barney chooses to save his soul and takes the job. They will be fighting against General Garza (the dictator), his men and a CIA agent called Izzy Hands, who is hunting them in order to put an end to their operations.
