Yes, sad sad news. According to Vulture director David O. Russell is walking out of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies , the best-selling novel bySeth Grahame-Smith based on Jane Austen’s classic tale of the tangled relationships between lovers from different social classes in 19th century England.
Apparently, Russell is planning to make the dramedy Old St. Louis -starring Vince Vaughn- as his next film since he wasn’t able to meet with Natalie Portman in order to start working on Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Yes, a scheduling conflict with Portman (who was also the picture’s producer at Lionsgate Films). That’s the reason why Russell is intending to begin working with Old St. Louis this spring. Bad thing is Scarlett Johansson — who has a role in the film as Vaughn’s secretary— must now drop out because she couldn’t meet Russell’s start date, either.
Let’s see how this evolves… Poor David O. Russell, he has no luck with women!

It’s not all bad news. They are still movie full steam ahead on Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. I think this would be a better movie anyway. http://tiny.cc/8s5w2
You’re totally right, Santino :) When I first read about it I thought there was no way Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter was going to be made but I was wrong! I’ll be posting something about it, can I link to your article?
