Ireland is a wonderful, beautiful country. I will never forget my first trip there, which was the first time I got to play with an expensive camera. When it came to photography cork was where I really got started, the bustling city in the south of Ireland. I met someone who was looking to sell a camera they owned so they could upgrade to a new one. I was interested of course, so I made an offer and they quickly accepted.
With my new camera in hand I was ready to travel a bit and take some pictures. I quickly took a bus over to Killarney, which was a relatively short journey. This is right next to one of Ireland’s only national parks, which has some beautiful scenery and gorgeous wildlife in the red deer around.
After I took some pictures there I moved up to Connemara, where I saw some of the wild lands that are unlike anything I had ever seen before. The Cliffs of Moher are a sight to see, and I was amazed at some of the photographs I got from that location.
I traveled to Galway and Dingle and a couple other cities before making my way back where I came from. Whenever I think about how happy I am to have had the opportunity to learn photography Cork will be the city on my mind. Because of a stranger’s kindness and desire to give me a deal on a camera, I am able to capture the world around me in a way quite unlike anything I had ever thought possible.
